If one wishes to take advantage of his magic, making him a Sage, Mage Knight, or other magical class is worthwhile to up his potential damage. His good strength and magic stats allow him to go into practically and class and use practically any weapon effectively, especially magic weapons such as the Flame Lance or Levin Sword. It also provides him with staff utility, allowing to function as a healer/support unit should the situation call for it. His starting class is Royal Knight, which provides him a balance between both physical and magic damage/durability. ![]() ![]() Both his offensive and defensive capabilities are above average in regards to physical and magical, however he does not excel in either area in the way dedicated physical and magical units do. However, due to his late join time, his growths are not as important as he is unlikely to get a significant amount of levels quickly without grinding. His growths are similarly strong, with all of them being above average or good with the exception of a middling strength and speed growth. Mauvier is a late-game recruit with strong base stats in every area except a mediocre luck stat. He failed to protect Veyle, and her subsequent death in a pointless battle continues to weigh on his conscience. The Mauvier of the parallel Elyos that Nel and Nil come from is much like his counterpart, albeit being on better terms with his fellow members of the Four Winds. He joins forces with Alear in order to avenge her as well as to free Veyle from Sombron's control. It is Marni's death at the hands of Zephia that serves as the tipping point for his leaving the Four Hounds. When Marni secretly takes two Emblem Rings in a bid to confront Alear's forces, and after they end up losing them in the failed encounter, Mauvier attempts to sway Zephia to punish him instead for failing to stop her, though he is unsuccessful. He worries for her and disagrees with Zephia's methods of using magic to force an alternate, more vicious personality out of her.ĭespite their differences, Mauvier considers Marni a friend and comrade. Of the Four Hounds, Mauvier is for the majority of the game the only one to show respect and care for Veyle's true self. ![]()
